Delaware mortgage rates once again set an all-time record low last week after Federal Reserve started QE3 buying of mortgage bonds. QE3 stands for Quantitative Easing Round 3 which is the Federal Reserve buying US Treasuries and Bonds to try and stimulate the economy. QE3 was announced by the Feds because the economy is still struggling and inflation is still under control. The economic news released last week was not good and helped support mortgage bonds. Delaware mortgage rates dropped to all-time historic lows last week on Thursday, September 13, 2012, when the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke announced that the Feds would be instituting QE3 and would be buying mortgage bonds to the tune of 40 Billion a month. The Feds are looking to spur the economy by keeping interest rates low. The Feds will keep the bond-buying program in effect until inflation creeps up or the economy turns the corner. Delaware mortgage rates dropped back down to all-time historic lows to end the week after very volatile ride all week. Mortgage rates jumped up on Thursday but then fell back to all-time historic lows on Friday after the Labor Department released August 2012 Jobs Report. The jobs report was very disappointing, reporting only 96,000 new jobs created for August 2012 versus expectations of 130,000. The report also revised numbers for June 2012 and July 2012 revising the numbers down reporting that 41,000 fewer jobs were created than originally reported. Keep Reading...

Delaware mortgage rates dropped significantly on Friday as the mortgage bonds soared along with Stocks, Bonds, Gold, and Oil. The markets all soured on news from Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium held Friday, August 31, 2012, which has been held every year since 1978. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke pretty much said that QE3 is coming because of how bad the US economy is doing that it needs further stimulus. Delaware mortgage rates increased again last week as money moved out of the bond market into the Stock Market. Mortgage bonds have been selling off since reaching an all-time record high on July 24, 2012. As the mortgage bonds sell off the interest rates increase. There has been mixed news in the last week some good and some bad. The good news for the economy started with the release of the Retail Sales Report for July 2012 which came in much better than expected at 0.8%. Delaware mortgage rates increased to end the week last week as some better than expected news on the economy helped boost stocks and pulled money out of bonds. We saw the Labor Department release Initial jobless claims for the week of August 4, 2012, which saw lower than expected jobless claims. 361,000 new claims were filed versus 370,000 expected.  Long term we still see mortgage interest rates staying near historic lows but short term we could see rates rise so we are recommending LOCKING in your Delaware Mortgage rate. Delaware mortgage rates ended the week last week higher as the stock market rallied on some “good” economic news that was reported on Friday. We saw the Labor Department release the July 2012 Jobs Report which showed 163,000 jobs were added well above the 100,000 expected. This news was enough to cause a big rally in the stock market and pulled money out of the bond market which causes Delaware home loan rates to increase on Friday. Even with this good news we still saw the unemployment number rise from 8.2% to 8.3%. This is the 42nd straight month the unemployment rate has been above 8%. The Labor Participation Rate also decreased and showed no pick up in hours worked. Keep Reading...
